Carter: 9 months

At 9 month you:

  • weigh: I have no idea. I am going to say somewhere between maybe 20 and 21lbs. You don't feel like you have gained much but you have gotten taller
  • height: no clue
  • wear size 3 diapers
  • wear 12 month clothes

*Those eyes melt my heart*
  • are in to E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. I can get you out of one thing and you are right back in to another. It is a never ending battle.
  • are crawling everywhere which doesn't help you getting in to everything

  • can say momma, dada, Nat Nat, and Nana.
  • will wave bye and motion for something to come here whenever you want something.
  • still sleep through the night for the most part, you are more attached to your paci at night than Natalie was but if I can catch you before you wake completely up and give you your paci back you will fall right back to sleep.

  • are to busy to be interested in T.V. however if you hear music playing on Mickey or Chuggington you will start dancing.
  • Are the sweetest yet wildest little boy yet. You are fearless which makes me a nervous wreck.

Vacation 2015

This years vacation was like none other. I literally packed everything in the house to accommodate my 2 babies. Taking 2 babies to the beach is hard work but I would not change it for 1 single second. Thankfully this year Natalie did require a little less than she did last year. We headed out bright and early Monday morning for a week in Panama City with the Wesley's and Kinder's. We had a blast to say the least and to ice the cake BOTH my babies loved the beach.

Taking a break under the tent in his pool beside Pate.

We wore them out.
Carter woke up during our mad dash for ice cream at Pier Park. We were trying to beat the storm that was coming and I guess he thought he needed to protect his sister.

She could have played in the sand the entire time and been satisfied.

It's amazing what he does for his kids. If you know Daniel, he is not a beach person at all. Guess that's going to have to change since both kids love it.

Snack time on the beach

Carter got his first cheese puff. Unlike Natalie I have a hard time getting him to eat any solid foods so I was very shocked when he wanted a cheese puff. I let him try it and he loved it. He may be my junk food eater because that same night......

He helped himself to a chocolate chip cookie.

Two of the sweetest boys EVER.

Carter loves him some Addie Brooke.

The love they have for each other melts my heart.

We went to Miracle Strip one night and Natalie had a blast.

This was her first ride. She was unsure at first but she loved it.

She rode the boats by herself. I was a little nervous but I couldn't ride with her and she insisted she was riding.

We had a wonderful vacation with great friends, fabulous weather, and beautiful water. It came and went way to fast.

Carter: 8 Months

At 8 Months you:
  • weigh about 20lbs
  • height - I'm not real sure but you have definitely grown
  • have 2 teeth that broke through 3 days before turning 8 months.
  • wear some 9 month clothes but mostly 12 months these days.
  • are sleeping in your own bed now :( You seen to enjoy having your own space. On some of the nights you have woke up and I have had to feed you I try putting you in the bed with us and you hate it so you squirm and squirm until I put you back in your bed.
  • are a pretty good sleeper. Sometimes you wake up and need your paci but most nights you go to bed between 8 and 8:30 and wake up anywhere from 6-6:30.
  • still hate any kind of green foods and aren't too interested in table food either :/
  • have taken to a sippy cup fairly easy. (I know it's time to start taking the bottles away but I am having a harder time with you than I did with Natalie. I guess it could be you are my last baby)

  • are in love with your sister. We have been taking it easy this summer and enjoying each other. When you wake up you immediately want to go and wake Natalie up. We let her sleep but as soon as you hear her you start her way just a squealing.

  • you have learned how to go from laying down to sitting up without any help
  • are pulling up on EVERYTHING (you have only made it all the way up a few times but it's coming)

  • have learned to crawl :( This is something I have not pushed and I didn't really push with Natalie either because it means you are growing up. I learned with Natalie once you go mobile it's on.

  • sometimes you have your own style of crawling

  • are trying your hardest to cut more teeth. You gnaw on E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

  • are FEARLESS. I know that can be a good  thing but I can't handle it. You are not afraid of falling or anything. So needless to say we have had our fair share of bruises already which breaks my heart but you hardly even cry you just get back up and go again.

  • are still a momma's boy and I am perfectly fine with that. You definitely know how to melt my heart with your sweet kisses and those blue eyes.

We are so glad that God saw fit to give us you. You complete our little family and we couldn't be happier. You definitely are going to keep us on our toes with your wild self but we love every single minute of it. You are growing up entirely too quick but we love watching you develop your own personality and likes and dislikes. We love you much!

Natalie: 18 months

At 18 months you:
  • weigh 26lbs.
  • are 31in. long
  • wear size 4 diapers, and size 18 months - 2T clothes (it all depends on the brand), and size 5-6 shoe
  • have 12 teeth
  • have developed quiet the vocabulary lately....you can say... mommy, daddy, bubba, Carter (Ta-ter), Nana, Papa, Uncle Jake (UnDake), Aunt Misty (MiMi), cows (dows), gummies (nummies), milk, apple juice, Kirby (Tirby), blow bubbles
  • you sleep all night. You start out in your bed then at some point you join momma and daddy in their bed (Which is perfectly fine with me). You get in our bed and go right to sleep. So I still count that as sleeping all night :) It could be worse!
  • LOVE to be outside blowing bubbles or playing in the water and swinging

  • LOVE to dance if there is any music playing you are going to be dancing.
  • have shown an interested in Teeteeing in the potty so we are going with it. We were at home one day and  you said teetee mommy...I was shocked so we ran to the bathroom and sure enough she did....of course we celebrate every single time. Now she has a Minnie Mouse potty that she can use by herself and she loves it.  We ask when we change your diaper if you need to teetee sometimes you will go and sometimes you show no interest. At this point I wouldn't even say we are potty training we are just going with the flow when you are ready we will go.
  • had your second trip to the ER. (That's a long story and you still have the scar on your arm to show) Needless to say we are done with RMC in Anniston.

After a LONG night we finally got checked into a room.

This was after a little rest waiting on the doctor to come around.

Finally headed home (Notice her swollen arm :( )

The rest is just some random snap shots of our sweet girl

To say we are obsessed with shoes would be an understatement. Maw Maw Betty would be so proud.

Natalie loves to play in the water whether it is the pool, ocean, lake or bathtub
