House Update

A lot has happened on the house since my last post. As far as the outside goes we have shingles and are just waiting on the siding. On the inside we have the plumbing, wiring, and air conditioner duct work. Once all of this was finished we were at a stand still for about 2 weeks.
They finally showed back up this week and we got insulation and sheet rock.

Once the sheetrock went in, things really started to look more like our home.

(They ran out of sheetrock in the garage but that will be finished as well.)

*As of today, the sheet rock has been mudded. Hopefully next week we will have paint on the walls. :)

8 months 1 day....

And we get our first tooth.
I have been expecting a tooth since she was 3 months old and we finally have one. I felt her gums this morning and had just told mom I didn't feel anything but her bottom gums felt different. Well I went to change her diaper around lunch and I seen something shinning. There it was her first pearly white. I tried to get a picture of the tooth but she wasn't having it plus it's pretty hard to see. This picture shows what she did all afternoon Tuesday. She was checking it out herself. If she wasn't sucking her bottom lip she was sticking her tongue out rubbing it across the tooth.

Natalie: 8 Months

At 8 months you:
  • weigh somewhere between 17-18lbs I am guessing.
  • wear size 3 diapers
  • wear 6-9 month clothes
  • said "dada" on July 14 while we were on our way to the beach
  • sleep all night for the most part; teething has not been our friend at night some nights
  • are a good sitter now and are working on crawling although you are more interested in pulling up
  • love Kirby
  • know how to melt mommy and daddy's heart with those big blue eyes
  • absolutely love Mickey Mouse, when he comes on T.V. you get so excited and will stop what you are doing instantly even if we are in another room
  • love to be outside
I adore the leg rolls

You love to play in the grass

We have had a great summer together and I am not looking forward to it ending and my girl going back to daycare full time. Things will be a lot different next summer with 2 little ones but we are excited.

Update on brother: He is growing right on track. He has a new name for now, it is not in stone and can still change again. :)
Carter Daniel will join our family this Fall and we are ready to meet him.

Our Future Home

The future home of the Morrison's
Grading began in May 2014. Daniel's brother Chris did the grading for us.
House pad

Driveway

**Side note-I fell behind on the picture taking. I missed the footing and pouring of the concrete.
After we graded we were kind of at a stand still. They finally came and laid off the house and poured our footing. Then the concrete slab came and we did some more waiting.

Finally on Wednesday July 30 the framers showed up ready to work.
The following pictures were taken after just 3 days worth of work.

MEGA 2014 and Orange Beach

This week I had the opportunity to attend Mega Conference in Mobile. We did not stay in Mobile but instead stayed in Orange Beach and just commuted back and forth. I had never been to Mobile so it was an experience to say the least and maybe we just didn't go far enough into Mobile but I was glad we choose to stay in Orange Beach. We attended the conference in the mornings and after lunch headed back to be with my girl.
Daniel and Natalie stayed at the room while we attended the conference. She may or may not have become and even bigger daddy's girl after this week with him.
We headed south Monday morning and came home Friday night after supper. To start the week off right Natalie said her first word...."dada."

Our week in pictures.

We did lots of hanging by the pool. This girl loves the water.

My world :)

We decided to order out one night but when the decision was made I already had Natalie ready and Alli had Addie ready so we decided to take the girls to the beach and snap a few pictures.

She loved the sand and may or may not have got a hand full to her mouth.

It's not the greatest but I hardly have any pictures of me and her.

Natalie adores Addie.

With lots going on on the beach it was hard to get them to look at us. This is the best I got.

Two peas in a pod

Addie and Reese did lots of this with their daddy's and somehow talked Daniel in to taking them around the lazy river a time or two. I am sorry for whatever they may have learned.

4th of July

We spent our weekend at the lake. We didn't have any big plans this year so we just took it easy and spent some time with family. It was actually a nice relaxing weekend.
For those of you who really know my husband, you know that he is not a fan of the water, especially lake water. However, he has a little girl who he will do anything for. Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, that is Daniel in the lake with his girl.

Natalie loves big kids and she was so excited to swim with MaKenna

Just hanging by the water

She loves the grass and managed to scoot herself to the edge of the towels to play in the grass.

Natalie caught her first fish this weekend. Daniel was fishing and Natalie spotted him so we went over to check it out. She grabbed that pole from him and as soon as she did a fish bit the hook. It was perfect timing. :)

She is not scared of anything.

Partners in Crime
I believe me and Bethany are fixing to really pay for it.

We ended the day with a sunset boat ride to see the fireworks at Sand Harbor.
